Hello, My name is Brock Wade and I was born and raised in Austin, Texas. I am starting my Senior year as a Advertising Major in the School of Journalaism and Mass Communcation at Texas State University. I'm excited to be sharing more about myself and my interest while learning more about how to work in HTML. I have had little experience with HTML aside from a few smaller assignments in the past. I think this is the perfect way to share more about myself while learning a new skill. I hope you enjoy!
I graduated from Stephen F. Austin High School in 2022, and when it came time to figure out what I wanted to do next, I decided to start at community college. I spent two years there working towards a certificate in video/film production before transferring to Texas State in the fall of 2024. I think having those two years at community college gave me some time to figure out what I actually wanted out of college instead of rushing. Transferring to Texas State ended up being a really important step for me, both academically and personally. Now that I’m starting my senior year, it’s a little surreal to realize that I’m getting close to the end of that journey.
I have a lot of different creative interests, ranging from photography, videography, guitar and music production. I’ve always enjoyed picking up something new and seeing where I can take it, even if I have no idea what I’m doing at first. I’m definitely not a professional in any of these areas, and there’s still a lot I have to learn, but that’s part of what makes them fun for me. I like experimenting, making mistakes, and figuring things out as I go rather than worrying too much about whether everything I make is perfect. More than anything, I just want to keep finding ways to improve these interests and see where they eventually lead me.
